Board of Directors

The Library Board of Trustees is composed of seven resident citizens who live in Fayette County.

Appointments

• 2 members appointed by the Fayette County Council
• 2 members appointed by the Fayette County Commissioners
• 3 members appointed by the Fayette County School Corporation Board of Trustees

Terms & Service:

• Trustees are appointed to four-year terms.
• Terms are staggered, with no more than one appointment made by each appointing body per year.
• Board members serve without compensation.

Library Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

• Meetings are open to the public, in accordance with the Indiana Open Door Law.
• Executive Sessions may be held under legal provisions for closed meetings.
• Notice of all regular sessions is submitted to the Connersville News-Examiner.
• A public notice is also posted at least 48 hours in advance in the library’s parking lot atrium.
