Your Password
To access most online services, you will need to provide your library card number and password. We set your password when we create your card. You can change your password from your online account. If you need to reset it, we can help!

Borrowing Guidelines
The library offers a variety of items for checkout! Here are the loan periods and limits:
- Books – 21 days
- Magazines – 21 days
- Movies (limit 1) – 7 days
- Video Games (limit 2) – 7 days
- Theme Kits (limit 1) – 21 days
- Wonderbooks (limit 2) – 21 days
- Audiobooks (limit 2) – 21 days
- Games & Puzzles (limit 2) – 21 days
Placing a hold is easy! You can request items online at https://fayettecounty.evergreenindiana.org or in person at the library or on the bookmobile.
If we don’t have the item you’re looking for, we can often borrow it from one of over 100 member libraries in our network.
You may choose to be notified by phone, email, or text when your item is ready for pickup.
Please note: each library reserves the right to recall their materials, and we cannot guarantee when an item will arrive. Factors such as availability, transit times, and weather may affect delivery.
Evergreen Indiana is designed to auto-renew eligible items on their due date—when possible. An item will be renewed automatically if:
- Renewals are still available
- The item is not on hold for another patron
- The item has not been recalled
Please note: the system is not perfect. We recommend checking your account online, using the Evergreen app, or calling the library to confirm your renewal.
You can also manually renew items online or by phone.
- Items can be returned using the indoor book return located in the parking lot entryway.
- Larger items should be brought to the front desk.
- Returning after hours? Use the convenient purple book drop located in the library parking lot.
We’re happy to share that the Fayette County Public Library is fine-free!
You won’t be charged late fees for overdue materials borrowed from our library. However, if items are lost or damaged, the replacement cost of the item plus a $5.00 processing fee will apply.
Please note: Other Evergreen Indiana libraries may still charge fines for materials borrowed from their locations.
